Lara is a lovely brand new Dufour 335 GL based in Sibenik, waiting to be taken out to sea. She is a cute little thing perfect for a small family or a group of friends. For a boat her size, she is quite spacious both on and below deck, and the cockpit is large enough to even squeeze in more than 6, should you make new friends and invite them over for a G&T. Central Adriatic is one of the best sailing areas along the coast, as it has so many islands of all shapes and sizes for your to explore and have fun on. Kornati Archipelago is a national park for a reason, you will just love cruising around island upon island of unspoilt nature, sitting in perfect silence, disturbed only by the sound of your sails being pressed by the breeze. If you enjoy fishing, this is the best area to have a go at trying to catch your dinner, Lara's kitchen will provide everything you need for preparing a delicious meal for your crew!

- A really perfect week. Excellent support from Borrow A Boat during the preparation phase. The boat from 2014 was actually in good conditions and very well maintained. I suggest bringing euros in cash and exchange for kunas locally at a more favorable rate.

License & Skipper Services

Security deposit
A refundable $1,178 security deposit will have to be paid at check-in. Like car rentals, boat charters require a refundable security deposit to cover accidental damage. The amount varies by boat model and is returned after inspection if no damage is found.
Insurance
This boat is managed by a professional charter company with comprehensive insurance. Your liability for damages is limited to the security deposit. For added peace of mind, you can protect your deposit by purchasing deposit insurance.

What happens when I request a quote?
Once we receive your request, we will confirm the availability of the boat, as well as check for alternative ones. To ensure your experience is the best it can be, we may contact you to discuss your request in detail. Let us do the research for you - free of charge.
When can I get in touch with the captain/skipper?
The timing depends on your charter type. For crewed charters, we can provide the captain's contact details upon request. For bareboat charters with a hired skipper, you can request the contact information 1-3 weeks before departure.
What is the Charter Fee?
The Charter Fee is an additional, obligatory cost, which typically includes the end cleaning of the boat, home port fees, and linen & towels. The details of the charter fee differ depending on the boat, location and charter partner.
Are there any other costs I should be aware of?
There are marina fees and fuel costs which vary depending on the type, duration and location of your sailing holiday. Marina fees need to be paid at each marina you choose to dock overnight - the amount varies but you may be able to find this information in advance by contacting the marinas directly. Fuel costs depend on whether you’re sailing a motorboat or a sailboat. You can estimate fuel costs by double-checking your chosen boat’s engine, and the expected distance you aim to sail.
